The former 'Dancing with the Stars' pro-dancer and judge goes ringless as she steps out after it's reported that she and her husband have been 'spending time apart.'

AceShowbiz - Julianne Hough has just added fuel to rumors that there's problem in her marriage to Brooks Laich. The dancer/actress/singer was not wearing her wedding ring when she was pictured after reports emerged about her supposed marital issues.

The 31-year-old was photographed going ringless when leaving a gym in West Hollywood, California on Wednesday, January 8. Sporting a black ensemble, her ring finger was visible as she held her phone, bag and keys in one hand, while she had a water bottle in her other hand. It's hard to tell her feelings from her expression while she was heading into her car.

Many fans noticed that the former "Dancing with the Stars" pro-dancer and judge had ditched her wedding ring on previous occasions. She reportedly went without her ring while co-hosting NBC's New Year's Eve and was spotted ringless in a December 24 Instagram video. Brooks, meanwhile, still wore his ring in January 2 workout video.

Earlier, it was reported that Julianne and her husband are going through a rough patch in their marriage, more than two years after their wedding. A source told E! News the two "are not ready to share what's going on between them. They don't even really know what to call it. There's a ton of love and emotion in there and they are going through something very personal."

"She's been very private about this time in her life and is not making any kind of official announcement," the source added. "She is honoring her work commitments, as is he, and it's kept them apart. But things have definitely changed in their relationship."

Another source shared similar information to PEOPLE about the couple, "They've been having problems for months. She's very independent and a free spirit, and that's been tough for Brooks and their marriage."

Another insider, however, gave hope that Julianne and Brooks would work things out between them. "It seems they are not giving up, but also not talking about it. They want to do this their way. They don't want to discuss their marriage. They have been having problems, but many people do," the said insider claimed.
