People are quick to attack E! News after the publication wishes the daughter of Beyonce a happy birthday with a tweet that read, 'Can someone please explain to us when Blue Ivy became an adult?'

AceShowbiz - Blue Ivy Carter has turned 8 years old, meaning that she's still pretty much a child. Thus, when people notice that the daughter of Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z gets called an adult after her milestone, they are surely not having it.
Publication E! News was the one making the remark, wishing Blue Ivy a happy birthday with a tweet that read, "Can someone please explain to us when Blue Ivy became an adult? Happy 8th birthday to the Baby Queen Bee." The post soon went viral, with a lot of people expressing their disagreement with the publication's word choice.
Someone corrected the webloid, "Blue Ivy is a child. Referring to her as an adult only perpetuates pedophilia." Another wanted to know "who at Enews is responsible for tweeting that Blue Ivy is an adult. Where did your sense go? Do you know anything? Like how dangerous add to the perception of young black CHILDREN, particularly young girls to be seen adults. tf."
One other said, "Posting about a minor, objectifying that minor in a completely inappropriate manor. Some perv writing your posts needs to have a crash course." On the other hand, an individual called the post "disturbing," adding, "She only got her hair straightened. She looks like a lovely child, but not an adult." Another echoed, "This isn't appropriate, someone either needs training or 2 be fired b/c seriously is this how you cover every other celebrity kid?! The ones who where (sic) makeup, colored their hair & identified themselves already b/c I can name of a few!"
E! News has since deleted the tweet following the backlash.
Blue Ivy celebrated her 8th birthday on Tuesday, January 7. Her grandfather, Mathew Knowles, wished her a happy birthday with a post featuring a never-before-seen photo of the little girl. "Happy Birthday to my beautiful and oldest granddaughter Blue Ivy," he wrote alongside the photo that showed Blue in an orange blouse and cherry-patterned skirt. She also toted a palm-printed bag on her back.
