AceShowbiz - Angela Rye is getting candid about her split from rapper Common. The CNN political analyst recently addressed her breakup with musician during an episode of her podcast titled "Kwanzaa Edition: 2019 Year in Review podcast", revealing that they couldn't overcome their differences which later to them calling it quits in September.

"We just want different things," she shared. "This was after a time that I realized I was going to take the second godson (the 9-year-old) more often. I had told him about it the day before. We had been talking for about two months about let's see where things go because I'm leaning towards 'I want kids' and he was leaning towards 'I don’t know.' "

"I think when somebody tells you I don't know, they just tell you that because they don't really want to hurt you," she added.

Angela went on saying, "I remember us having this conversation the day after we talked about Ryan, he said, 'I don't know if I want to have kids.' So I said, 'I don't know what else there is to talk about.' " Calling their split "an impeccable parting of ways," she went on saying, "We're very clear about the fact that we were not aligned in those interests."

Despite their breakup, Angela said that they "will always be friends." She also gushed over the Chicago rapper, dubbing him "a really good person."

The pair have indeed no problem in moving on after their split. While Common is rumored to be romancing "Girls Trip" actress Tiffany Haddish, Angela is said to be dating restaurateur Karim Webb. Angela first sparked the dating rumors after posting on Instagram Stories a photo of her in a pool embracing with Karim. "What a gift you are," so she captioned the snap.
