The former Oasis guitarist, who had kicked his smoking habit four years ago, reveals that his collection from various dressing rooms all over the world worth an estimated $37,245.

AceShowbiz - Ex-smoker Noel Gallagher has a collection of over 20,000 cigarettes, worth an estimated $37,245 (£28,475).

The former Oasis star kicked the habit four years ago but told Britain's Daily Star newspaper he's been "stockpiling" the cigarettes, which were given to him and his bandmates for their dressing rooms on riders during gigs, "for when the kids start smoking."

"I must have between 20 and 50,000 in my house from various dressing rooms all over the world," he said. "I used to stockpile them. I've still got them in a cupboard somewhere."

Noel shares daughter Anais, 19, with ex-wife Meg Matthews, and sons Donovan, 12, and Sonny, nine, with his current spouse, Sara MacDonald.

Explaining how a heavy night at Britain's Q Awards prompted him to quit smoking for good, the "Wonderwall" hitmaker shared: "I went to the Q Awards. Stayed out all day and all night... I could never smoke with a hangover anyway, but the hangover lasted so long after that and I thought, 'I haven't had a cigarette in two weeks,' and then that's it."
