The Destiny's Child star and the 'Bounce Back' rapper host free screenings for the Daniel Kaluuya-starring movie in their respective hometowns of Houston and Detroit.

AceShowbiz - R&B star Kelly Rowland and rapper Big Sean have given fans a post-Thanksgiving Day treat by hosting free screenings of new drama "Queen & Slim".

The movie was written by Lena Waithe and shot by Beyonce Knowles's Formation music video director Melina Matsoukas, and their celebrity friends have been rallying support for the project on social media to celebrate its U.S. release this week.

On Friday, November 29, Beyonce's best pal and Destiny's Child bandmate Rowland joined forces with her husband, Tim Weatherspoon, to buy out two showings of the project in her native Houston, Texas.

As she invited members of the public to attend the screenings, Rowland explained she wanted to put on the events "Because it's a GREAT film, and because it's made by two incredibly talented WOMEN!"

Big Sean also got behind the movie, and offered up free tickets for a screening in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.
