The 'Charlie's Angels' actress has been enlisted by Universal Pictures to sit behind the lens and plays a lead role in the studio's 'Invisible' movie series.

AceShowbiz - Elizabeth Banks is about to disappear as "The Invisible Woman".

Universal Pictures bosses have recruited the actress to direct and star in the project, based on her own movie pitch, while Erin Cressida Wilson has written the screenplay.

Banks, who is still recovering from the "Charlie's Angels" flop, will also co-produce.

Universal chiefs are hoping invisibility is the new key to a hit film - they have also completed production on "The Invisible Man" film, starring Elisabeth Moss, according to Deadline.
