AceShowbiz - Kane Brown has gone candid about his daughter's resemblance to him. On the red carpet of 2019 American Music Awards, the "Used to Love You Sober" crooner joked how he feels "bad" for his wife Katelyn Jae that their baby girl looked more like him than her mother.
When asked about his newborn ahead of the 47th annual event, the 26-year-old gushed to People magazine, "She's starting to look more like me." He went on to quip, "I feel bad for my wife," before pointing out that their daughter has Katelyn's nose.
This was not the first time the "What Ifs" hitmaker poked fun at his similarity to Kingley Rose. Back on November 9, he took to his Instagram account to post a photo in which he mimicked his first child's sleeping expression. Along with the snap, he declared, "My little twin."
Kane welcomed his baby girl, Kingley Rose, on October 29, a little over a year after marrying Katelyn Jae in Franklin, Tennessee. He introduced the infant to the world through the photo-sharing platform two days later. Putting out a photo of him cradling the bundle of joy while giving a kiss to his wife, he wrote, "KB3 [love emoji] welcome to the family Kingsley Rose Brown!!!!"
As for the AMAs, the Tennessee-born singer came to the November 24 show with double nominations. He successfully brought home the Favorite Country Male Artist prize, but lost the Favorite Country Album category to fellow country music star Carrie Underwood.
Kane's win at the music awards came just weeks after he announced his first international headlining shows, 2020 Worldwide Beautiful Tour. The "Homesick" singer will kick off the trek in Dublin, Ireland on February 2, with stops in other major cities that include London, Amsterdam and Paris, before heading back stateside. He is expected to round up the tour in Kansas City by early May.
