AceShowbiz - K-Pop star Goo Hara has died aged 28.
The singer and actress was discovered in her apartment in Seoul, South Korea at around 6 P.M. local time on Sunday, November 24, various Korean media outlets confirmed, with Gangnam police still investigating the incident, reported the BBC.
The shock news comes after the star spent a week touring Japan in support of her new solo single, "Midnight Queen".
It followed an apology to her fans earlier this year for causing a "commotion," after she was discovered unconscious following a suicide attempt in her apartment in the South Korean capital just after midnight on May 30.
Formerly of girl band Kara, Hara had had sparked a frenzy amongst her fans when she wrote, "Goodbye," on her Instagram prior to the attempt to take her own life. She was rushed to hospital and made a full recovery.
More recently, the singer and actress made headlines after a public row with her ex-boyfriend Choi Jong-Bum, who she accused of blackmailing her with sex tapes the pair had made.
She was subsequently questioned by police after she allegedly assaulted Choi, but received public support off the back of the #MeToo sexual equality movement.
Hara was close friends with fellow K-pop star Sulli, who died by suicide last month.
