The former 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' star has been tapped to star on 'Sometimes I Lie', a small screen adaptation of Alice Feeney's debut novel, in which she also serves as executive producer.

DeGeneres will develop the show with bosses at her production company, A Very Good Production, based on a script penned by Oscar-nominated "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" writer Robin Swicord.

Gellar stars as Amber Reynolds, a coma patient experiencing memory loss as she tries to piece together the events leading up to her hospitalisation.
