The black comedy, which earned Olivia Colman the Best Actress Oscar for her role as eccentric Queen Anne, will go up against director Sameh Zoabi's "Tel Aviv on Fire", and "Ditte & Louise" from Danish filmmaker Niclas Bendixen for the title.

The three finalists were announced by EFA officials on Tuesday, October 29, as part of a series of nomination roll outs in the lead up to the ceremony, which will be held in Berlin, Germany on 7 December.

Last year's (18) Best European Comedy award was won by director Armando Iannucci for "The Death of Stalin".
