The former host of CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast says in a new interview that comedy world has no place for a 58-year-old female comedian like her as she struggles to get a job.

AceShowbiz - Kathy Griffin is taking a stand against executives in the world of comedy, after revealing she "doesn't have one single day of paid work ahead" of her.

The 58-year-old comedian has struggled to land work after she posted a controversial image depicting the severed head of U.S. President Donald Trump online in 2017.

The scandal continues to haunt the star and, speaking on KTLA Channel 5 to promote her new movie "Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story" about the ordeal on Wednesday, October 23, she confessed she believes she'll never work again due to her age and gender.

"By the way, I still do not have one single day of paid work ahead of me for the rest of my life, you tell me that's not because I'm a 58-year-old female in comedy," she said while discussing her work.

Host Mark Kriski interjected, telling Kathy: "I think there's a lot of 58-year-old comedians working out there."

"Name five women," she challenged him, as he stuttered to answer, "I'm uh… not into the comedy thing."

Satisfied her point was proven, the star joked "What's up with the new guy?" before going on to explain she's actively trying to encourage bosses to acknowledge the worth of older women in comedy.

"Working in a male-dominated field is something where I deal with that sort of thing every day," she mused. "So I spend most of my day trying to talk to older white guys and explain I just want to do what I do."
