The 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' actor has signed on to star opposite actress Soleil Moon Frye as she brings her 1980s series back to the small screen.

AceShowbiz - Freddie Prinze Jr. is teaming up with actress Soleil Moon Frye to bring her "Punky Brewster" show back to TV.
Frye will reprise her 1980s role as the titular character, who is now a single mother-of-three, with the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" star signing on to play her ex-husband, Travis.
It's not the first small screen reboot to draw Prinze Jr.'s attention - he was briefly tapped to star as the dad in the "Nancy Drew" series revamp, before TV officials opted to replace him with "Party of Five"'s Scott Wolf earlier this year, explaining they wanted to take the role of the teenage detective's father in a different direction.
