The 'Light On' singer admits to be left 'stunned, furious and confused' after a male concertgoer shouted at her to take her top off when she performed at the Moody Theater in Austin.

AceShowbiz - Maggie Rogers was left "stunned, furious and confused" after a male concertgoer shouted at her to "take your top off" during her gig in Texas on Saturday night (October 19).

The 25-year-old singer has been on the road for her "Heard It in a Past Life Tour", and has been delighting fans across America with her soulful performances. On Saturday, she performed at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas, but her set was interrupted by the offensive catcall from a man in the crowd - with another man then joining in and calling out "you cute though".

Following the gig, Maggie took to Twitter to express her shock at the incident, as she insisted "there is no space for harassment or disrespect or degradation of any kind at my show".

"Every night before the alaska acoustic encore, i speak about gratitude and growth and change. it's the most vulnerable part of the set. just me and a guitar before i say goodnight," Maggie wrote, before recounting the rude catcalling and her subsequent reaction.

"I was stunned. furious. fuming. confused. and also – on a really basic level – it really hurt my feelings," she continued. "i step on stage every night and give every part of me. and my community shows up every night and together, we create a safe space to amplify each other. to allow relief. to allow release. there's a deep amount of trust there."

"I step on stage every night with a deep reverence for the stage, my craft, and the privilege that is making music for my job. I've been writing and producing music for 10 years – my body is my greatest tool for communicating that work."

Maggie concluded her note by urging her fans to "be kind to each other out there".
