When asked to share her thought on the news that her ex-boyfriend has landed the superhero role in 'The Batman', the 'Charlie's Angels' actress gushes that she is 'very, very happy about that.'

AceShowbiz - Kristen Stewart is thrilled her ex Robert Pattinson has been cast as the next Batman.

The 33-year-old will make his debut as the DC Comics superhero in the upcoming movie, "The Batman", which hits theatres in 2021. And speaking to Variety at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, September 7, Kristen, 29, gushed her "Twilight" co-star is the "only guy" for the part.

"Oh man, I feel like he's the only guy who could play that part. I am so happy for him, it is crazy," she told Variety. "I also, it feels like, I don't know, I'm very, very happy about that. I heard that and was like, 'Oh man!' Yeah, it's awesome."

In Variety's October issue, the "High Life (2019)" star admitted he'd been chasing the role for some time, before screenwriter Matt Reeves finally agreed to meet with him after finishing the film's script.

"I'd had Batman in my mind for a while," he shared. "It's such an absurd thing to say. I sort of had an idea to do it, and I'd been prodding Matt. He didn't accept any prods. I kept asking to meet him."

However, he confessed it feels "crazy" to have landed the iconic role, and added wearing the character's Batsuit for the first time felt "quite transformative."
