When met at Variety's Power of Young Hollywood gala in Los Angeles, the one-half of Chloe x Halle also shares her thought on which actor she prefers to take the part of Prince Eric.

AceShowbiz - Halle Bailey couldn't be more excited about her upcoming role as Ariel in Disney's live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid (2020)".

The 19-year-old was announced as the lucky star tapped for the leading role in the reboot of the 1989 animated classic last month (July 2019). And speaking to Entertainment Tonight at Variety's Power of Young Hollywood gala in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday (August 06), the actress gushed she's "honoured" to have landed the part.

"It means so much to me," she shared. "I feel very honoured and really grateful for the opportunity."

"Ariel was one of my favourite princesses growing up so it's a dream come true. I'm very excited and happy."

Halle confessed she's most excited to sing Ariel's power ballad "Part of Your World", and promised that the project is "going to be very amazing and beautiful."

When asked about the actors who could possibly play her character's love interest Prince Eric, with names in the mix rumoured to include Harry Styles, she remained coy, musing: "Oh, I don't mind. I think that anyone would be great for it."

Halle's sister Chloe Bailey, with whom she forms musical duo Chloe & Halle, added she "can't wait" to see her sibling's performance in the flick and is "just so proud of her"

"It's going to be really good," Chloe enthused.
