A little over a year after disappearing from the public eye over the trouble, the 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' actress thanks the Chinese authorities for making her cut down her hectic schedule.

AceShowbiz - Fan Bingbing thanked the Chinese authorities for punishing her over tax evasion.
The 37-year-old actress, who played Blink in "X-Men: Days of Future Past", disappeared from the public eye for four months after it was confirmed last year (2018) she owed China's government $42 million (£32 million) in back taxes.
She had been silent on social media since July 2018, sparking concern from fans about her wellbeing.
Bingbing is China's highest paid actress, and she has now thanked authorities for punishing her, as it made her cut down on her hectic schedule.
"It may be a trough I encountered in my life or in my work, but this trough is actually a good thing," she told the New York Times on Saturday, August 3. "It has made me calm down and think seriously about what I want to do in my future life."
It was her first interview with Western media since she vanished last year.
Chinese authorities accused her of tax evasion, but no criminal charges were filed after Bingbing posted an apology on social networking site Weibo.
