As the face of the new adidas x Stella McCartney campaign, the 'Flesh Without Blood' singer takes to social media to offer details of her unorthodox regime, which also includes screaming session.

AceShowbiz - Grimes has shared details of her unsual fitness regime, which includes up to two hours of sword-fighting, and spending hours in a sensory deprivation tank.

The 31-year-old musician, who is the face of the new adidas x Stella McCartney campaign, took to her Instagram to share her unorthodox regime, which also includes hours in a sensory deprivation tank and a screaming session.

"My training is a 360 approach. I first maintain a healthy cellular routine where I maximize the function of my mitochondria with supplements such as NAD+, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Magnesium, etc. This helps promote ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) and it's incredibly visceral."

"From that point I spend 2-4 hours in my deprivation tank, this allows me to 'astro-glide' to other dimensions - past, present, and future," Grimes wrote. "In the afternoons I do a 1-2 hour sword fighting session with my trainer, James Lew, we go over the fundamentals that work the obliques, core stabilizes, and triceps as well as a few tricks."

And following that intense session, to "wind down" she then hikes on an incline for an additional 30-45 minutes.

Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, added she also spends time stretching before heading into the red light studio where she takes part in a "a screaming session for 20-25 minutes while I slow boil the honey tea that maximizes vocal proficiency."

The "Genesis" hitmaker also explained how she "eliminated all blue light" from her vision through experimental surgery in order to cure her seasonal depression, and she goes to sleep with a humidifier.

Her quirky routine drew admiration from some of her fellow musicians.

Mushaboom singer Feist commented: "This is my favourite thing I've ever read on the Internet", while Katy Perry wrote: "Humidifiers YAS."
