Announcing his retirement from acting, the 'Storm Boy' actor tells movie fan to never forget him in a video taped for his Lifetime Achievement Award at Australia's NAIDOC Awards.

AceShowbiz - "Crocodile Dundee" star David Gulpilil has announced his retirement from acting after revealing he's battling lung cancer.
The 66-year-old was too ill to pick up his Lifetime Achievement Award at the NAIDOC Awards in Canberra, Australia over the weekend and instead his daughters collected his honour.
Gulpilil appeared at the prizegiving in a taped video, telling fans, "Thank you very much for watching me. Never forget me. While I am here, I will never forget you. I will still remember you, even though I am gone forever, I will still remember."
The indigenous acting legend, who played Neville Bell in "Crocodile Dundee", also featured in "Rabbit-Proof Fence", Australia and this year's "Storm Boy".
Taking to the stage to pay tribute to her father, Gulpilil's daughter Phoebe Marson said, "Our father was one of the first Aboriginal actors. He spent his life sharing our culture and our stories."
"He's sick. He has lung cancer and one day soon he will go to the Dreamtime... We are all one red blood. Thank you for acknowledging our father."
