AceShowbiz - Emma Stone injured herself during an incident in London earlier this month. The 30-year-old actress hurt her shoulder after "slipping on a floor" at a home, a source allegedly close to the star tells PEOPLE of Emma's injury.
It's unclear if the incident took place at a property where she's staying while she's in London or at a friend's residence. The accident happened just weeks before she is scheduled to begin production on Disney's live-action movie "Cruella".
The so-called insider, however, says that the painful injury will not affect the filming schedule. "Production on her next film had not yet begun and this is not causing major issues in any way. They continue to be in pre-production and she'll begin once healed," the source explains.
Previously, The Sun reported that Stone broke her shoulder at the Spice Girls reunion concert. The Academy Award-winning actress reportedly fell from her friend's shoulder while enjoying the girl group's energetic performance at Wembley Stadium earlier this month.
"But she's a massive Spice Girls fan and got carried away at their concert and fell off a pal's shoulders while she was partying," a source told the news outlet. "She thought it was just bruised initially, but has now discovered it's actually broken."
The site further raised concern that the injury would affect her role in the "101 Dalmatians" prequel, because doctors allegedly told her to rest for up to two months and advised her to wear a sling. The source added, "She's gutted about such a serious injury. She needs to be in top physical condition for the role, which is active and involves running around after dogs."
Neither Stone nor Disney has released a statement regarding the actress' injury.
She clearly had a great time at the concert, as Emma Bunton shared her pictures with the "Easy A" star on Instagram. "When Emma met Emma. #2become1," Baby Spice captioned the photos showing the two ladies smiling brightly at the camera.
