AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande has been powering through a bout of bronchitis to avoid cancelling shows on her "Sweetener World Tour".
The pop superstar wrapped up a four-night stint in New York City on Wednesday, June 19, but hours before performing her final show at Madison Square Garden, Ariana revealed she had been dealing with a secret health struggle backstage.
"man i always get sick on tour and like never get better lol (laugh out loud)," she began in a post on Twitter. "i've had bronchitis the past few shows (who's surprised? no one)... but getting better."
"love y'all so much and this tour is a dream," she continued. "new york, you make me sooooo happy. my babies (fans) have the best energy in the world (sic)."
However, the "7 Rings" hitmaker admitted her work ethic was taking its toll: "work so f**kin muuuuuch need a twinny twin twin (sic)," she added.
The singer will have one day's rest before she has to return to the stage in Washington, D.C. on Friday.
Despite her health issues, Ariana isn't about to slow down - on Thursday, she added a second North American leg to her ongoing tour, keeping her on the road until just days before Christmas (December 2019).
Ariana also appears to be keeping busy in the studio after teasing a photo of a computer and some headphones on social media, suggesting she is working on new music, too.
