AceShowbiz - Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk's romance allegedly ended way before the Oscar season. However, the pair stayed together through the award season to help the "A Star Is Born" actor/director win an award at the annual event.

According to Radar Online, the former lovers' relationship was already bad during the filming for his directorial debut movie which stars Lady GaGa. "Once Bradley met Lady GaGa things were strained, but he always told Irina he was just acting and there was nothing going on," a source spilled to the site.

The insider went on noting that Bradley, who snagged the nomination for best director at the Academy Award, "really made an effort" to be with Irina as the award season heated up. However, "he was spending all of his time with Lady GaGa."

It was also said that Irina was devastated while watching Bradley and GaGa's intimate performance of "Shallow", which won the Oscar for Best Original Song. "Ever since then, Irina has not been able to trust Bradley at all," shared the source. The model allegedly was aware that "things were bad," though she still "wanted him to commit and get married and show her more affection in public."

Despite her effort, they eventually went their separate ways after four years. The Russian supermodel, who shares 2-year-old daughter Lea with him, was spotted moving out of their shared Los Angeles mansion. Meanwhile, GaGa broke off her engagement to ex-fiance Christian Carino just before the Oscars.
