In another interview about her past romance with the 'By the Sea' star, the 'Riverdale' actress dispels ex-husband Mike Tyson's claims that the actor pleaded with him during a confrontation.

AceShowbiz - Actress Robin Givens paid for all of her dates with Brad Pitt when they dated back in the late 1980s because the then-struggling star just "couldn't get a job".

The 54-year-old was famously linked to Pitt after he landed a small role on her TV show, "Head of the Class", and the "Boomerang" star reveals she was always the one to pick up the bill at the end of each dinner outing, because the actor was broke.

"When I dated Brad, Brad couldn't get a job," Givens told syndicated columnist Allison Kugel. "I was paying for all our meals and he was a struggling actor. We talked a lot about acting because (we) were in acting class together, and we loved acting together.

"When we dated, he literally couldn't pay for dinner. At the time, I had already gotten the role on Head of the Class. It was a different dynamic, where I was the big deal to (Pitt). You know what I mean?".

The relationship took place shortly after Givens split from her now ex-husband Mike Tyson, and before Pitt went on to land his breakout role in 1991's "Thelma & Louise", catapulting him to superstardom.

Former championship boxer Tyson previously claimed he found out about Given's romance with Pitt shortly before filing for divorce, after catching the pair kissing in a car outside the actress' home.

During an appearance on America's "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen on Sunday night (June 09), Givens recalls the moment in question, but dismisses comments Tyson made about the incident in his 2013 memoir, "Undisputed Truth", in which he claims to have left a terrified Pitt pleading with the fighter not to hit him when confronted in the car.

"Does that sound like Brad?" she asked, questioning Tyson's version of events. "I mean, Brad's got some swag. No, (that) never (happened)."

Givens, who was appearing on the late night talk show to promote her new show Ambitions, also disputed other reports suggesting Tyson had once caught the couple in bed together.
