Daniel's wife Rebecca Wright had been posting about his worsening condition several days prior to his passing and tributes have been pouring in from fellow former contestants of the NBC reality show after news of his death spreads online.

AceShowbiz - Former "The Biggest Loser" contestant Daniel Wright has passed away. The former reality TV star, who competed in season 7 of the NBC show, died on Sunday, May 26 after losing his battle against cancer. He was 30.

The Raleigh, North Carolina-based guy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in October 2017, after he married Rebecca Wright, who was also a contestant in the first "Couples" edition of the reality series in 2008. Four months ago in January, Daniel's sister Deanna Thomas revealed that her brother's leukemia had relapsed.

Rebecca had been staying by his side during his cancer battle and giving updates on his health through her Facebook page. On Thursday, she posted about his worsened condition. "Daniel Wright's got a fever today making him pretty out of it," she wrote. "I'm not handling it th best I just keep crying...he's been doing so well the last couple weeks & a set back just freaks me out!! Please pray that the antibiotics are killing these infections and that he can get back on the mend ASAP! Also, for me 149days in the hospital and 45 days of that in the ICU is taking its toll."

On Friday, Rebecca shared that Daniel "had a lot of blood clots come out of his stool" the night before and "this morning he threw up blood." She continued, "they are doing a Endoscopy here in the next couple of hours to find the source of the bleed & then clamp, band, flush,or cauterize the source. This comes with complications be cause he is so sick but more if we do nothing!"

"He is much more alert today but still quite foggy," Rebecca, 34, added. "Once that's all finished they're going to be switching him back to the CVVHD or continuous dialysis because he's so weak and we need to get him to make that urine!!" She didn't lose hope of his recovery though, writing in the post, "Man alive this is insane & alone seems impossible but with GOD all things are possible."

After HollywoodLife.com reported news of Daniel's death, tributes are pouring in from fellow "The Biggest Loser" contestants. Jay Kruger posted on Facebook, "you are a hero to many and I’m saddened to hear the news.. Rebecca Wright you are in our thoughts and prayers."

Courtney Crozier Respess added, "I am so so heartbroken to hear about Daniel Wright this morning. He has fought SO HARD during his battle with cancer & more. This man is one of the kindest people I have ever met & was a true difference maker in this world! His faith never faded, even in the darkest of times. I am honored to have known him!!!"

A GoFundMe page was set up for Daniel by his sister Deanna in December 2017 to cover his medical costs. Donations are still being accepted to help Rebecca with the bills after his death.
