AceShowbiz - Halle Berry has successfully caused fans frenzy when she stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday, May 22 to give some encouragement to guest host Lena Waithe. But the "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum" star didn't only bring some words of support for the 35-year-old actress as the former also pulled her in for a long kiss.
Halle made her entrance after Lena admitted to "feeling a little nervous" and needing "some words of encouragement" as it was her first time hosting a late-night show. Telling Lena that she is "a force of nature" and "a beautiful African-American queen," Halle eventually asked, "You good or you need something else?"
Lena told her that she was good, but the 52-year-old thought the opposite as she locked lips with the former. The "Master of None" star appeared to be shocked because she didn't see it coming, though she still enjoyed it as she said, "wow," after the kiss. Lena also shared the moment with her Instagram followers, who were as shocked as she was.
Some of her celebrity friends took to the comment section to express their disbelief, including Issa Rae who wrote, "Uhhh WHAT?" Janelle Monae couldn't even type properly while director Ava DuVernay exclaimed, "Wait. What's. Going. On?!?! What is you LIIIIIIIIFE! Dude!" Charlamagne Tha God said, "You really living your best life...."
Some of her followers, meanwhile, were jealous of Lena for being able to kiss Halle. "The tragedy is this was Not me...," one wrote. "Omg that was supposed to be me !!!" Another, on the other hand, wished she was a lesbian after watching the kiss as one other said, "This only happens in every LESBIANS dreams."
For her comment, sex educator Ericka Hart reminded Lena that she already has a fiancee, film production executive Alana Mayo. But Lena assured her that Alana didn't mind it as saying, "Alana gave me a pass."
