The update provided by the WWE legend's wife Wendy Barlow comes just hours after Offset blasted 'dumb a** blogs' for spreading rumors that the 70-year-old wrestler had died.

AceShowbiz - Wrestling legend Ric Flair has been forced to wait for surgery to treat a medical emergency due to health complications.

The 70-year-old WWE legend was said to be in a "very serious" condition after he was hospitalised in Georgia on Thursday, May 16, but his wife, Wendy Barlow, insisted he would be fine, and explained Ric was expected to make a "full recovery" after undergoing a procedure booked for Friday.

It's not clear what landed the sportsman in hospital, but Barlow has since revealed his doctors have decided against moving forward with the mystery operation until other issues are dealt with, reports TMZ.

"Ric's surgery has been postponed until Monday to address some complications that needed to be taken care of first," Barlow shares in a new statement. "Thanks for all the well wishes".

The Migos star, who befriended Flair after releasing his 2017 single Ric Flair Drip, told fans he had just spoken to his old pal over the phone and all was going well.

"RIC FLAIR IS NOT DEAD U DUMB A** BLOGS WTF (what the f**k) U GETTING YOUR INFO FROM...," he ranted on Friday.

"(JUST) TALKED TO MY MAN GOD IS WITH HIM HE HAS NOT PASSED AWAY STUPID A** MF (motherf**kers)," he continued.

"DONT WISH DEATH ON MY FRIEND HE HAD A LONG LIFE AND HE DONE IT ALL SOME BAD BUT MAJORITY GOOD HE IS A LEGEND GOD BLESS YOU RIC GET WELL (sic)".

Offset slammed publications for reporting that Ric Flair had died.

It's not the first time Flair has suffered a major health scare - in 2017, he was placed in a medically induced coma for 11 days after his intestine ruptured.
