AceShowbiz - Watch out, Kelly Ripa! The "Live with Kelly and Ryan" host recently slammed "The Bachelor" franchise on the show, calling the ABC dating series "gross" and "creepy." The diss didn't go unnoticed by the folks at the show as series creator Mike Fleiss and host Chris Harrison had shared their reactions to the shade on social media.
Fleiss wrote on his Twitter account, "Easy, @KellyRipa .... #TheBachelor franchise pays your salary!" He was referencing to the fact that "Live With Kelly and Ryan" is produced and distributed by ABC, the home for "The Bachelor" and its spin-offs.
Chris also joined in to clap black at the 48-year-old star. "The Bachelor" host turned to Bachelor Nation and tweeted, "Look out #BachelorNation @KellyRipa is coming after you and your 'disgusting' Monday night habit."
Kelly has yet to respond to the clapback from the two.
Kelly made her displeasure known when co-host Ryan Seacrest told the audience in the Tuesday, May 14 episode of "Live" that Hannah Brown, the star of current season of "The Bachelorette", was set to be visiting the show next week.
"You guys, you know how I feel about the show. It disgusts me," she said. "I can't stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion. You know how I feel, ladies, we are too special to be arguing over a guy."
The audience erupted in applause, but that didn't stop the 48-year-old from jokingly calling out those who watch the show. "Having said that," she continued. "All of you women watch that gross, gross show." When Ryan described each of the 24-year-old Alabama native's suitors, Kelly quipped, "It's all creepy." She went on adding that "The Bachelorette" was "just as creepy" as "The Bachelor".
