Hoping to sell his new paintings online as hand-signed prints, the member of The Rolling Stones explains that 'The Picasso Stones' are his interpretation of Picasso's 'The Three Dancers'.

AceShowbiz - Rocking artist Ronnie Wood has unveiled a new Picasso-style painting of The Rolling Stones, featuring a naked Mick Jagger.

Abstract Stones is one of five pieces Wood is hoping to sell online as hand-signed prints from Friday, April 26.

"I call it The Picasso Stones," Ronnie explains. "It's my interpretation of Picasso's painting The Three Dancers."

"Looking at the original, I was inspired to do my own take featuring the boys. I did a few versions and each one was slightly different and more honed than the last."

"I had great fun doing it. Picasso did his own take on a lot of artists but I bet he never thought no one would ever do a take on him. I hope and think he'd be flattered, but also a bit shocked and pleasantly surprised at my take on his work."

The painting features the naked Jagger striking one of his famous strutting poses as Keith Richards, Wood, Charlie Watts and bassist Darryl Jones perform behind him.

Meanwhile, the "Jumping Jack Flash" singer, 75, is still recovering after undergoing heart valve replacement surgery at New York's Presbyterian Hospital earlier this month.

The procedure forced the band to postpone a number of live dates on their upcoming world tour.
