The 39-year-old opens up about the 'traumatic week' on Instagram, sharing that her and Jason Biggs' son Sid is now enjoying an unlimited supply of ice cream as he recovers after getting rushed to ICU.

AceShowbiz - Jenny Mollen and Jason Biggs' five-year-old son Sid was rushed to hospital on Saturday night, April 13 after the actress dropped him on his head and fractured his skull.

The 39-year-old Angel star opened up about the terrifying accident in an Instagram post on Wednesday, sharing a shot of herself cuddling her son, who had his face obscured by a cartoon heart.

"On Saturday evening, I dropped my son on his head causing him to fracture his skull and landing him in the ICU," she wrote. "I am forever grateful to Lenox Hill downtown and @nyphospital for their immediate response and aid. Thank you to all of the nurses, neurologists, pediatricians, residents, cafeteria staff and brave women that keep the visitor’s bathroom clean. Not sure how this post turned into an Oscars acceptance speech… But @biggsjason Thank god for you! Thank god, thank god, thank god".

Jenny added that Sid is now home again after being treated in hospital, and is enjoying an unlimited supply of ice cream as he recovers.

"It has been a traumatic week but Sid is home now taking things slowly and recovering nicely," she continued. "He is also eating a lot of chocolate dipped ice cream cones and plans to try cherry dipped soon. My heart goes out to all parents who have or will ever find themselves in this kind of position. You are not alone...".

The screen star, who also has toddler son Lazlo with Jason, was flooded with messages of support from her followers after sharing the news, one of which read: "As a mama of 4, I know s**t like this happens! Speedy recovery to your boy. And look after yourself!".

Another added: "So glad he is alright. I’ve been there and it sucks. Don’t let it haunt you. You are a great mother. Hang in there, mama!"

"Orange Is the New Black" star Jason has yet to address Sid's accident on his social media pages.
