Trying to obtain a joint legal and physical custody of Tallulah, the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder argues that ex-wife Rachel Roy has to leave the 11-year-old with childminders as she travels for work.

AceShowbiz - Hip-hop mogul Damon Dash wants to amend his custody agreement with ex-wife Rachel Roy to allow him more time with their youngest daughter.

Fashion designer Roy was awarded sole custody of their two girls following their nasty divorce in 2009, with Dash granted visitation.

However, the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder has now filed court documents seeking to change their set-up in a bid to receive joint legal and physical custody of 11-year-old Tallulah, their only minor child.

In legal papers obtained by The Blast, Dash argues his circumstances have changed a lot since their split, as he is now remarried and has more free time due to a decreased work load.

He also argues that their little girl, with whom he has a close relationship, has also expressed a desire to spend more time with her dad, insisting it would be in the kid's best interests as Roy often has to travel for work, and leaves Tallulah with childminders.

Dash also raises concerns about Roy's parenting, pinpointing an incident at a 2018 Christmas party they both attended, where the designer became "very intoxicated to the point she could not drive herself or our daughter" home.

Dash ended up giving them a ride, but he fears what would have happened had he not been in attendance, and has included text messages purportedly from Roy apologising for her behaviour on the night in question.

Roy has yet to respond to the petition.

She and Dash were married from 2005 to 2009, and are also parents to 19-year-old Ava.
