In her statement, Cortney reveals that the then-couple filed for divorce back in February at Kings County New York.

AceShowbiz - Cortney Hendrix and Jason Carrion, who appeared in season one of "Married at First Sight", are divorcing. Jason announced that they had decided to end their marriage after five years together in a statement released to PEOPLE on Thursday, March 28. Judging by the statement, their split appeared to be amicable.
"It is with a heart full of sadness that me and Cortney have decided to separate," he said in the statement. "We fell deeply in love and had very much a fairytale story being married as complete strangers in the docu-series, 'Married at First Sight'. We both had such an incredible magical journey together these past few years, making this that much harder to write and even harder to live."
He continued by asking their fans to give them some private time as they "reevaluate things." The FDNY firefighter and wrestler added, "It has been a very difficult time for me especially with all the rumors, as well as the public wanting updates about our marriage."
Concluding his statement, Jason reassured fans that the exes would "continue to love and support one another and still share a common goal to remain friends." He said, "I think the best way I could summarize how I feel is through a quote that has stayed with me for some time by Joseph Campbell, 'We must be willing to let go of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.' "
Cortney, on the other hand, shared more details about their divorce in her statement, which was posted on Instagram. Revealing that they filed for divorce in February at Kings County New York, she said, "We have decided together to move on in different paths, but that doesn't mean we don't have love for each other. He will always have a special place in my heart and life."
The former couple got married in March 2014, when they appeared in the first season of "Married at First Sight".
