Loaded with a bunch of hard-hitting action scenes, the latest sneak peek for 'John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum' offers a glimpse of the titular character's romantic past.

AceShowbiz - Lionsgate Movies has dropped another trailer for "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum". With less preface to what happened to Keanu Reeves' titular character that leads to events in the upcoming movie, the new trailer goes in full action mode as it focuses on John Wick who is hunted by other assassins in the city.

"There's no escape for you," The Director (Anjelica Huston) says to John, who is facing the consequence of killing a member of the High Table in 2017's "John Wick: Chapter 2". John still gets the help from Winston (Ian McShane) and Charon (Lance Reddick) to get his weapon supply, while he turns to Halle Berry's Sofia for a source of backup.

Judging from her unfriendly welcome, Sofia doesn't see their friendship as that close. She shoots him, though it hits his bullet-proof suit. "After this, we are less than even," she fiercely tells John. Despite her reluctant response, Sofia is seen joining John walking through a dark alley while they're being shot at.

The movie will once again include a reference to John's past love life as the trailer shows him finding an old photo of his late wife Helen. The photo is found somewhere along with what looks like hidden treasures that are definitely not kept in his now-demolished house.

In the end, The Director asks John, "All of this for what? Because of a puppy?" referencing to the death of John's dog in the first movie. John begrudgingly responds, "Wasn't just the puppy."

In this third installment of the adrenaline-fueled action franchise, super-assassin John Wick returns with a $14 million price tag on his head and an army of bounty-hunting killers on his trail. After killing a member of the shadowy international assassin's guild, the High Table, John Wick is excommunicado, but the world's most ruthless hit men and women await his every turn.

Laurence Fishburne returns as The Bowery King, an underground crime lord, though it's not clear which side he's on after he reluctantly helped John in the second film. New additions to the cast also include Robin Lord Taylor as The Administrator, Asia Kate Dillon as The Adjudicator, Jason Mantzoukas as Tick Tock Man and Jerome Flynn.

Chad Stahelski serves as director, with the script provided by Derek Kolstad. Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee produce the pic, which is set for a May 17 release in the United States.
