Though acknowledging that creating a family of their own is 'something that needs to happen', the former 'Quantico' star admits that she doesn't think too much about it.

AceShowbiz - Newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are in no rush to have children.

The "Quantico" star, 36, and Jonas, 26, tied the knot in December (18) and while the actress knows expanding their family is "something that needs to happen" they are letting it happen in an "organic" way.

"It's not something I think about very much," she tells People magazine. "We're both very driven, we love our work, we're married to our work, and we're both very supportive of each other's work."

For now, the couple is focusing on continuing to get to know each other.

"We haven't changed, strangely, because we're still navigating... getting to know each other, and it's just magical, because every day is like a new feeling and a new day and you're learning something new," she says.

Chopra and Jonas previously opened up about the possibility of parenthood, insisting they want to enjoy the honeymoon stage of their marriage before making family plans.

"I always say, 'Man proposes, God disposes', so I'm not taking any chances," Chopra said. "We definitely want kids, and when the time is right, it will happen."

"Let us be married first for a while before we have to make all these big decisions," Jonas added. "We're in our honeymoon period right now and we will be for a very long time."

The newlyweds recently celebrated their nuptials with family and friends in Belmont, North Carolina, where Jonas' father Kevin grew up and owns a restaurant. The bash on 27 January was headlined by DNCE, the group fronted by Nick's brother Joe Jonas.

Nick and Priyanka enjoyed a jet-setting honeymoon between the weddings and last month's party - they spent Christmas in London with Joe's fiancee Sophie Turner and her family, before heading to the Swiss Alps, where they rang in 2019 with loved ones, and then flew to the Caribbean.
