Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss confirm that they have prepared the first trailer featuring a sneak peek at season 8 which seems to be coming anytime soon.

AceShowbiz - It's been a long wait for fans of HBO's hit series "Game of Thrones" and the first trailer featuring real footage of the much-anticipated eighth and final season . The fan-favorite fantasy series recently revealed the exact premiere date of the new season alongside a new teaser, though fans were disappointed as it didn't include actual footage from season 8. However, fans can feel rest assured now.

Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss confirm that they have prepared the first trailer featuring a sneak peek at season 8 which seems to be coming anytime soon. Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Benioff says, "[David Lynch] was saying he wished there were no trailers." He adds, "And it's true, you could just go into a movie and see something completely fresh."

Weiss echoes the notion, saying, "I wish there were no trailers. I just want somebody to say, 'Trust me, go see this.' "

But, much to everyone's relief, they will still drop teasers. "We won't [skip teasers] though," Weiss reassures. "Because then we went and saw 'Ready Player One' with our kids and they played the 'Westworld' trailer and it looked great. And we're like, 'Ah, we should do that.' "

So far, promotional footages for the upcoming season that have been released didn't include actual scene from season 8 expect for the one coming from HBO's 2019 First Look preview. The brief video hinted at the first encounter between Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner).

It could be seen that Daenerys, with Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) trailing behind her, walked towards the Stark family including Sansa in Winterfell. That marks the first meeting between the Mother of Dragons and Sansa in the show's history.

"Winterfell is yours, your grace," Sansa said to Dany. Also present in the scene were Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie).

Also starring Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister and more, season 8 of "Game of Thrones" will arrive on April 14 on HBO.
