AceShowbiz - Kylie Jenner can't keep her world record of having the most-liked photo on Instagram for a year. On Sunday, January 13, a photo of an egg finally topped the previous Instagram record set by the cosmetics mogul, who held the world record with her photo of her daughter, Stormi Webster.
Originally posted on January 5 by an Instagram user who goes by the name "world_record_egg," the image has amassed more than 19 million likes, surpassing Kylie's picture which currently has around 18 million likes. The former picture showed an egg on a plain, white background. The caption read, "Let's set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this."
It becomes the first non-human on Instagram's top 20 most-liked posts, with celebrities such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and the late XXXTentacion owning the share of top photos.
Kylie won the internet back in February 2018 by posting a snap of her then-newborn baby Stormi, which she shares with her rapper boyfriend Travis Scott (II), confirming her baby rumors. The image showed her daughter's tiny hand wrapped around her thumb. At the time, she beat out Beyonce Knowles' record, whose pregnancy announcement raked in more than 11 million likes.
Now, the comment section of Kylie's photos is full of egg-related messages. "Egg Gang is superior to this baby," one comment read as one other user quipped, "Sorry, Stormi, but the egg is coming for you." Another hilariously said, "She's gonna have to explain this beef to her daughter one day which make me very happy."
While the loss was surely regrettable, Kylie most likely won't be upset about it that much. She already has an estimated $900 million beauty empire, leading to her earning a spot in Forbes' wealthiest celebrities list in 2018.
