A source close to the 'America's Next Top Model' creator/EP/judge/host reveals that the decision is made because the model is wanting to focus on being a producer.

AceShowbiz - Oh no! It seems like fans won't be seeing host Tyra Banks in the next season of NBC's "America's Got Talent". A new report suggests that the runway-diva-turned-enterpreneur is set to exit her hosting gig on the talent competition.

A source close to the "America's Next Top Model" creator/EP/judge/host says to Page Six that the decision is made because the model is wanting to focus on being a producer after the success of her Freeform movie sequel "Life-Size 2". It's said that Tyra has had a raft of offers and will focus on producing television.

" 'Life Size-2' went way beyond expectations... It was Freeform's biggest premiere of the year... Executives were over the moon with the cult classic sequel," adds the source. "Tyra's been inundated with producing and acting requests.. she wants to produce and create TV."

As new opportunities are coming, the star seemingly has to make a sacrifice. "She will not be returning to 'AGT' in the new year," the source reveals. While she "loved her time at 'AGT'," it's said that she is ready to move on and embrace new experiences.

She first hosted the show in 2017, taking the place of previous host Nick Cannon, who served as the presenter of the show for eight seasons.

Tyra previously hinted at her departure from the show. Back in November during her appearance on "Access", she said, "I think I had a really nice run with 'AGT.' I had a lot a lot of fun," before adding that she was focusing on "Life-Size 2" that debuted on Freeform on December 2.

In addition, Tyra has been hinting at a big 2019 project after announcing her desire to make a "Coyote Ugly" revival.

Meanwhile, "America's Got Talent" will return next year with a spin-off titled "America's Got Talent: The Champions". Featuring winners, finalists, and other successful contestants from "AGT" and other "Got Talent" franchises from around the world, the show will be hosted by Terry Crews and is set to premire on January 7, 2019 on NBC.
