The 'Get to You' singer reveals through an Instagram post that he got down on one knee on December 19 to ask the 'Every Little Thing' hitmaker to be his wife.

AceShowbiz - Country music stars Michael Ray and Carly Pearce are engaged.
Singer Ray, 30, took to Instagram on Saturday, December 22 to share the happy news, and explained that he had popped the question to Pearce during a vacation in Tulum, Mexico earlier this month.
He also uploaded a photo of himself on bended knee in front of his new fiancee, who appeared to be very overwhelmed by the moment. A second image shows Pearce, 28, beaming while holding up her new ring.
"Dec 19, 2018 My life forever changed for the better," Ray wrote in his touching caption. "I got down on one knee in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen and looked into the eyes of the most beautiful soul I have ever known and asked her to be my wife!!".
The "Kiss You in the Morning" hitmaker continued the sweet post by labelling Pearce as his "partner in crime".
Concluding the post, Ray added, "You are gonna be MY WIFE!!!!!!!!! Thank you for choosing me honey I can't wait to walk life with you. Yo family get ready I'm bringing my FIANCE home for Christmas!!".
The couple began dating after exchanging flirty comments on social media earlier this year, and made their red carpet debut at the 2018 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards in November.
"I think the first step is announcing it on Instagram," Ray explained to reporters at People.com at the time. "You're allowing everyone in - everybody's coming in! People see it on Instagram but then (the) red carpet is that seal of approval."
