The 'Teen Mom' star shares on Instagram a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed, writing in the caption, 'Anxiety is a b***h!'

AceShowbiz - Tuesday, December 18 was not a good day for Dakota Meyer. The ex-husband of Bristol Palin was admitted to hospital after suffering from an anxiety attack, sharing on Instagram a picture of himself lying in hospital bed in Austin, Texas.

The picture saw the "Teen Mom" star in a blue gown and a camouflage-print hat as he helplessly lied in bed while holding his phone. "Anxiety is a b***h! #ownthedash #anxietysucks," so he wrote in the caption. Sharing a similar picture of Instagram Stories, Dakota cryptically explained what happened. "Some days you win and some days you lose. That's life #anxiety," so he wrote in the image.

It's not clear what triggered the attack. However, shortly before his hospitalization, the marine veteran was filming scenes for the upcoming season of "Teen Mom OG" at his printing studios. He was seen in good spirits during the shooting, though.

Dakota has been open about his struggles with PTSD that he got after witnessing the brutal deaths of his entire platoon during the war in Afghanistan. He previously revealed that his anxiety issues worsened after he returned from battle and began thinking about his late team members.

"I would question things. It was a lack of confidence," he said. "I was second guessing myself, thinking 'I'm just not normal,' and I'm trying to figure thing out. I'm trying to make reason of what happened and how to go on from this point forward." He also added that he once contemplated suicide due to PTSD, saying that he was "just tired of being a burden on my family."

He said, "I was just tired of it all, and it just seemed like the easy way out. I pulled over to the side of the road and I pulled one of my guns out. I just put it to my head and squeezed the trigger. How there wasn't a round there. I don't know."
