The former child actor is taken into custody after he is caught shoplifting more than $200 worth of merchandise from a Rite Aid in the city.

AceShowbiz - Shaun Weiss, who is best known for playing Goldberg on "The Mighty Ducks", has been arrested once again this year. The former child actor was taken into custody after he was found shoplifting more than $200 worth of merchandise from a Rite Aid in Los Angeles. TMZ first broke the news.

According to law enforcement sources, Weiss is now facing a petty theft charge and a probation violation.

This is the second time Weiss had run-in with the laws this year. Back in August, he was arrested for public intoxication. He was left behind bars to sober up before being released without charge by police. His mug shot at the time, though, reportedly shocked many friends of him, prompting them to plead him to get help.

Shortly after that, Weiss announced through a statement that he had checked himself into rehab. "At this time, in an effort to break free from the self destructive patterns of behavior and drug abuse that have landed me at rock bottom, (to be real.. BELOW rock bottom. Even rock bottom is like 'holy s**t, how'd you get all the way down there?')," he wrote. "I have checked in to a well regarded, long term rehabilitation center."

"I have surrendered to the reality that without immediate treatment, my life is in eminant danger," he continued. "My spirit was until recently depleted, weak and shrouded by darkness has been renewed by the overwhelming out-pouring of love and support from fans of my early work as an actor." In his statement, he also thanked fans he had met over the years.

It's unclear when he got out of rehab.

Last year, Weiss was sentenced to 150 days in jail for stealing $151 worth of merchandise from a Los Angeles electronic store. However, the sentence was later reduced to 12 days because of prison overcrowding. He later went back behind bars when he was arrested for possession of suspected methamphetamine and was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
