The 'I Am Legend' actor, who has recently been active on the site, opens the recap video by expressing his wish to see Fortnite and Marques Brownlee in the clip.

AceShowbiz - With the year coming to an end, several YouTubers have joined forces to celebrate the year in internet pop culture with the 2018 edition of YouTube Rewind video. Not only featuring famous social media stars all around the round, but the video also includes several celebrity appearances from the likes of Will Smith, John Oliver and Adam Rippon.

The "I Am Legend" actor's appearance in the annual recap video comes as no surprise, considering that he has been active in releasing a lot of vlogs on his channel this year. Smith opens the recap video by saying, "It's Rewind time. If I controlled Rewind, I would want Fortnite and Marques Brownlee."

The scene then changes to show stars riding a Fortnite Battle Bus, with YouTube star Ninja driving the vehicle. Later on, they jump from the bus a la Fortnite and eventually meet around a campfire to discuss what should be included in the 2018 edition of YouTube Rewind. Some of the trends which were included in the clip were BTS (Bangtan Boys)'s "IDOL" music video, Fortnite dance challenge and Drake's "In My Feelings" challenge.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding as well as Kanye West and Lil Pump's hilarious costumes in "I Like It" music video were also featured in the video, so did the popular children song "Baby Shark". Elsewhere in the clip, the stars talked about the importance of mental health awareness, #MeToo movement and Asian representation among other things.

Smith once again appeared towards the end of the video, looking at a Fortnite Battle Bus through a telescope. "That's hot. That's hot," he said.

While more than twenty emerging and well-known YouTuber personalities and celebrities made an appearance in this year's YouTube Rewind, some of the most popular YouTubers such as Jake and Logan Paul, PewDiePie, Shane Dawson and Erika Costell were nowhere to be found.
