AceShowbiz - Bravo is not happy with how season 11 of "The Real Housewives" performs and the executives are reportedly putting the blame on cast members NeNe Leakes and Kandi Burruss. A new report suggests that the network's honchos have called an emergency meeting to discuss the matter as well as the two reality TV stars' fate on the show.
Held on Tuesday, November 13, the meeting was said to be seeing the executive talking about the possible plan to fire NeNe and Kandi. It followed the Sunday, November 11 ratings for the "Housewives" franchise which marked the lowest in the show's history. People close to the production allegedly didn't expect the new season to perform this poorly.
An insider told MTO News that the disastrous ratings might be because "this season doesn't really have too many juicy moments." The insider added, "If people aren't tuning in now - there isn't much [coming up later this season] that's going to make them tune in."
The site further stated that Bravo executives were considering to make major alterations to the show. The new things they planned to try apparently include casting new members and firing NeNe and Kandi, who are among the most popular Housewives.
"There is a feeling that NeNe and Kandi are to blame for this lack of drama this season," said the insider of why the executives were even "seriously" considering to drop the two stars. "They have been [with the show] too long, and they're [too] controlling [of] what the cameras see about them."
Of Kandi, the source dubbed her "very boring" this season. "We don't get to see drama in Kandi's marriage - which everyone wants to see, [Instead] this season is like one big infomercial to all of Kandi's business ventures," the source explained.
As for NeNe, while she has been allowing cameras to capture every little things of her life, the honchos allegedly thought she's getting "tired." The insider explained, "This season NeNe wasn't bringing it. She may have lost her touch."
While they haven't made a final decision, the site warned about an upcoming "bloodbath" should the ratings don't see a better progress.
