AceShowbiz - The music video for Ashley Tisdale's "Voices in My Head" is finally here for your viewing pleasure. Released on Wednesday, November 14, the visuals for her first single in nine years was directed by Brian Petchers.
Even though the music video doesn't follow a specific storyline, viewers are treated to some scenes of the "High School Musical" alum roaming around her house. Unlike the peaceful vibes that is lingering around her house, she doesn't seem to be at peace as she tries to filter out her feelings and break free from the voices that constantly annoy her.
"They say that I'll never be ready for love," she sings while rolling her eyes. "They say that I never will feel like enough/ Yeah they lie to me, and they lie to you." She later rhymes in the chorus, "All the voices in my head/ Always try to break me/ F**k me up and change me/ But talk is cheap/ This is the last time I listen to the voices in my head."
"Voices in My Head" serves as the first single off Ashley's upcoming album "Symptoms". Talking to Billboard, the blonde beauty said that her album would be revolving around her mental health struggles. "I wanted to make someone at home feel less alone in their journey. It's hard to be vulnerable. It;s scary, but I think that it's important to share what I've been through, and say that I'm human and I go through those things too," she said.
Ashley went on saying, "Sometimes this world can be really dark and the whole point of this album is that you need to be your own light and you need to get yourself together through it. It really is a journey."
"Symptoms", the follow-up to her 2009 album "Guilty Pleasure", is expected to hit the stores in December.
