AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj had a little bit of trouble when she opened the 2018 People's Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on Sunday, November 11. During her performance, the Trinidadian beauty appeared to forget her lyrics and did nothing to cover it.
Rocking a black leather mini skirt, fishnets, combat boots and a hot pink wig, Nicki kicked off her performance with a rendition of "Queen" track "Good Form" before inviting Tyga to stage to belt out their collaboration "Dip" together. A few times during her set, she clearly stopped singing and let the backing track take over.
It's unclear whether or not she did it on purpose, but viewers at home were clearly pissed with her for putting no effort in trying to cover up the apparent blunder. "How do people like Nicki... that was trash and I'm pretty sure she forgot half her lyrics?" one said as another wrote in a now-deleted post, "I was watching your #Queen make a fool of herself! Out of breath? Can't remember the words? Stiff as a board? Her career is over baby."

Nicki has yet to give her comment on the mistake, but some fans have come to her defense. "Nicki Minaj messed up her lyrics while performing but still managed to kill it, she is such a queen," a fan tweeted.

Elsewhere in the show, Rita Ora took the stage to perform her latest single "Let Me Love You" in a red suit and shades. Accompanied by several male backup dancers wearing similar outfit, the British singer effortlessly slayed her performance as guests were seen dancing along to beat while enjoying her set.
John Legend also graced the stage to serenade the audience with a cover of U2's hit "Pride (In the Name of Love)". Seated in front of the piano with iPhone lights lit up behind him, the EGOT winner successfully moved the crowd's heart with his gorgeous vocals and inspiring lyrics. He received a standing ovation by the end of his performance.
