Dorothy Bruns, who has been charged with manslaughter after striking and killing the Broadway actress' toddler daughter, was found dead in her home in New York on November 6.

AceShowbiz - The woman who allegedly struck and killed actress Ruthie Ann Miles' child in a car accident has reportedly been found dead from an apparent suicide.

The Broadway star's four-year-old daughter, Abigail, was killed in Brooklyn, New York in March when Dorothy Bruns lost control of her vehicle after allegedly ignoring a red stop light and hit pedestrians crossing the street.

Miles was walking with her friend, Lauren Lew, whose one-year-old son Joshua was also struck and killed in the horror crash.

The star, who was pregnant at the time, was hospitalised in a critical but stable condition, and in May, it was revealed Ruthie and her husband, Jonathan Blumenstein, had also lost their unborn child at 39 weeks.

Bruns was indicted and arraigned on charges of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide and assault, but she was found dead in her Staten Island, New York home on Tuesday, November 06. Pills and a suicide note were reportedly found near Bruns' body.

Miles has yet to comment on the reports.
