The 'Bodyguard' actor and the 'A Very English Scandal' star are nominated along with Keeley Hawes, Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer for the Drama Performance accolade.

AceShowbiz - Richard Madden and Hugh Grant will battle it out for the Drama Performance gong at the National Television Awards next January (19).

The actors have both been nominated for the prestigious prize for their roles in "Bodyguard" and "A Very English Scandal" respectively. But they will face tough competition from a host of other stars, including Richard's "Bodyguard" co-star Keeley Hawes and "Killing Eve" stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer.

"A Very English Scandal", "Bodyguard" and "Killing Eve" are also all up for the New Drama prize in the long list for the 2019 awards, which will be whittled down to a shortlist through public voting until the final round of voting begins in January.

The 2019 National Television Awards will take place in London on 22 January.
