Court documents unveil that the Georgia judge in charge of the suit has instructed the case to be halted after an alleged jail phone call involving rapper Birdman got released.

AceShowbiz - The lawsuit over Lil Wayne's tour bus shooting has been put on hold.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the judge overseeing the case in Georgia ordered the case to be paused following the release of an alleged jail phone call involving rapper Birdman.

Back in 2016, Lil Wayne's tour bus driver, Alvin Lewis - who was the driver on the night the rapper's bus was shot at in 2015 - sued Young Thug, Birdman, rapper Peewee Roscoe, Cash Money Records and Young Money Records over the incident.

The incident occurred after a dispute between Wayne and Roscoe boiled over following a concert.

Roscoe, real name Jimmy Winfrey, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the shooting.

The bus driver alleged in his lawsuit that before and after the shooting, Roscoe made multiple phone calls to Thug and Birdman, and attorneys for Lewis called the shooting "gang-related."

Earlier this month, a recorded phone call was released, which is believed to be between Birdman and Roscoe, from behind bars, following the shooting.

Attorneys for Lewis believe the call proves Birdman conspired with Roscoe, along with Thug and the other defendants, to shoot up Wayne's tour bus.

In the audio clip, it is claimed Birdman says to Roscoe: "Time for you to come out here and get your money. You did everything you could do, boss."

The Cobb County District Attorney recently announced they were deciding on whether to file charges against Thug and Birdman relating to the 2015 shooting - no decision has been made as of yet.

The judge overseeing the case is allowing for Roscoe to be deposed from jail, and warned any violation of pausing the case could result in sanctions and the entire lawsuit be thrown out.
