AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has given her response after she came under fire for thanking her sisters who said that she looked "anorexic" after her recent weight loss. In the first episode of Ashley Graham's "Pretty Big Deal" podcast, the mother of three says that she is sorry if she offended anyone with how she chose to celebrate her weight loss.
During the episode, Kim admits that she understands why people are mad at her, though she never intends to offend anyone with her reaction. "I really, you know, apologize if I offended anyone, because an eating disorder is - I know people that have serious eating disorders that have been in and out of the hospital for 15 years - close people," she notes. "So I've like, been through - I have experienced it enough to have, like, known better."
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star also admits that her remarks were insensitive and that she got carried away because she often jokes with her sisters loudly. Insisting once again that it wasn't her intention to offend anyone, she adds, "I think, especially my fans and everyone that was watching was supportive, like, 'Ok, look, like, maybe you guys shouldn't have said that but I know what you were saying.' "
Kim was accused of glorifying eating disorders and sending a dangerous message to fans about body image after she shared a series of videos of her sisters and close friend praising her slimmed down figure. Kendall Jenner could be seen looking at her older sister before saying, "I'm really concerned. I don't think you're eating. You look so skinny." Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian called her "anorexic [in the waist]," adding, "her arms are like pin-thin, they're like my pinky."
Band Best Coast was among the people who slammed the KKW Beauty founder, tweeting, "Kim Kardashian being obsessed with her sisters telling her she's so skinny she looks anorexic on her Instagram Story makes me want to throw my phone into outer space."
