The 'Almost Famous' star breaks the news that she has welcomed her first child with Danny Fujikawa through Instagram one day after giving birth.

AceShowbiz - Kate Hudson is a new mum.

The actress and her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday, October 02, and Kate announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday.

"She's here," she wrote next to heart emojis. "We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor."

"Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back."

Hudson, 39, announced she was expecting a daughter with Fujikawa in a gender reveal Instagram video in April.

"SURPRISE!!!" she captioned the post, revealing she had been absent from social media because she was struggling with her pregnancy.

"If you've wondered why I've been so absent on my social channels it's because I have never been more sick!" she wrote. "It was the most sick first trimester of all my children."

"We have been trying to keep this pregnancy under the radar for as long as possible but I'm a poppin now," she added. "And it's too darn challenging to hide, and frankly hiding is more exhausting then just coming out with it! My kids, Danny, myself and the entire family are crazy excited! A little girl on the way."

The "Almost Famous" star's new baby is her third child but her first daughter - she is already mum to sons Ryder, 14, and Bingham, six.
