In addition to ruling Top Country Albums, the 'American Idol' alum makes history by becoming the first female country artist to top Billboard 200 four times.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood has made history on the U.S. country charts by becoming the first woman to score seven consecutive career-opening number one albums.

The singer's new release, "Cry Pretty", has debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums countdown, two days after it topped the mainstream Billboard 200, making Underwood the first woman to top that chart with four country albums.

All six of Carrie's studio albums and a hits compilation have hit number one on the Top Country Albums countdown.

"This album is so special to me for so many reasons, and I couldn't be more proud that people have embraced it the way they have," Underwood tells Billboard. "I feel so blessed to be able to do what I do, and I am incredibly grateful for the support of fans around the world that make it all possible."

Meanwhile, Underwood has tied Dolly Parton for the third-most Top Country Albums number ones among women. Reba McEntire leads with 13, followed by Loretta Lynn (10).
