The Emmy-winning actor tells Jimmy Kimmel that he tries to participate as both victim and prankster on the set.

AceShowbiz - Fresh off his win at the 2018 Emmys, Peter Dinklage made an appearance in the Wednesday night, September 19 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". During the episode, the "Game of Thrones" star, who bagged the trophy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category for his role as Tyrion Lannister on the HBO hit, explained about what it's like behind-the-scenes on the show.

Despite the heavy atmostphere on the drama, Peter shared that the cast is just like any cast of any other shows who like to pull pranks and fooling around in between takes. "Do you participate on that?" host Jimmy Kimmel asked Peter.

After much thinking, the actor said that he tried to participate as both victim and prankster. "I like to pretend that I'm dead," the Emmy winner casually shared. "It's always fun [for] whoever, the wardrobe person, or the producers."

He then detailed how exactly he would do his prank, saying that he would get his legs sprawled on the trailer. "I gotta get really smashed onto the floor, like, in a very awkward position," Peter said. When asked how far did he go, Peter admitted that he would wait for hours.

Peter was announced as the winner of best supporting actor in a drama series, beating out co-star and off-screen brother Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Mandy Patinkin, David Harbour, Matt Smith and Joseph Fiennes. During the acceptance speech, he thanked his wife as well as show producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss.

"Thank you, Dave and Dan for changing my life. I cannot walk down the street anymore," he said. "But you are honestly the most talented, amazing people I know, besides my wife, Erica, who I think I forgot to thank a couple of years ago. So thank you, Erica, for putting up with me. I’m very temperamental and I love you very much."
