AceShowbiz - Rappers Rae Sremmurd have fallen victim to armed burglars.

Four masked gunmen stormed into the San Fernando Valley, California pad brothers Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee call home and assaulted a security guard before making off with a safe early on Saturday morning, according to TMZ.

Slim Jxmmi was at home during the raid, but his brother was elsewhere.

Police are investigating the incident, which came a week after Swae Lee was hospitalised when a fan threw a cell phone at him during a concert in Dallas, Texas on 26 August.

The rapper and his brother were supporting Wiz Khalifa at the city's Starplex Pavilion when a concertgoer threw the object at him, leaving him with a bloodied lip.

After the gig, Swae tweeted about the incident and explained that he may have to take a break from Wiz's tour to recover, writing: "My lip is f**ked up this dumb a** girl through (threw) her phone on stage like a baseball y'all gotta have more common sense than that my s**t is f**ked might miss a few days of tour," he wrote.

He returned to social media on Monday, August 27 and wrote: "Just got stitches in my lip and bought some finding Neeemo bandades and Star Wars bandades the tour continues... And I won't be suing the fan, imma charge it to the game just be more careful. I'm here to perform not (play) dodgeball".

The Black Beatles hitmakers closed out the tour with dates in Alberqueque, New Mexico and Phoenix, Arizona last week, ends August 31.
